Morintech Navigation AS is a distributor of high-quality digital cartography including C-Map CM93 electronic nautical charts for commercial navigation.

At the present moment safe navigation is practically impossible without reliable and complete cartographic data supported by modern information technologies. And this is a field where electronic navigation charts (ENC) and related software have an obvious advantage over the traditional approach involving "paper" sources.

Electronic charts may be easily combined with all modern navigational devices such as GPS and ARPA providing maximum possible automation of shipping. Updating of electronic charts is quite simple and may be done in a seconds directly at sea. Moreover being a database by the nature, an ENC along with cartographic information of a highest quality provides information from other sources such as Lists of Lights, sailing directions and so on.

CM93 cartographic data from C-Map offer worldwide chart database that already become a de-facto standard for various types of commercial applications. Morintech Navigation AS offers three alternatives of obtaining C-Map cartographic data:

• CM93 by Zones (annual subscription)

• CM93 by Areas which form part of a Zone (sale)

• CM93 Chart-by-Chart (sale)

C-MAP: ZONES & AREAS

Zones and Areas are the units of traditional C-Map data subscription.

Zones are the large regions of the globe that do not overlap. In the present version of C-Map data format there are 9 zones.

Area is a part of a zone. Areas within the same zone may overlap.

Zones and Areas allow the user to buy only the required part of the data supplied on CD. It is possible to select either entire zone or a number of areas from one or more zones.

Zones:

• The annual subscription for any one zone is 2,700 USD (includes chart updating issued every 4 months);

• The annual subscription for any one additional zone is 550 USD;

• A worldwide database (9 zones) is provided for annual subscription of 5400 USD.

Areas:

• Any one area is provided for 1,220 USD;

• A second adjoining area: 1,070 USD.

• A third and all additional adjoining areas: 920 USD.

C-MAP: CHART-BY-CHART

For Russian, Swedish, Finland and Estonia waters it is possible to order cartography on chart-by-chart basis. In this case you may select a particular charts and order them (minimum order 10 charts).
